What pregnancy tests can give you an HCG level as low as 5 mlU/mL?

I think that I might be pregnant and I have read that as early as 7 days post conception you may be able to detect if you are.

I have never seen a test that measures that low. I would just recommend waiting until you are late for AF.

The egg would be fertilized on the day you ovulated (the day of conception). It takes the fertilized egg around a week and up to 10 days to implant into the uterus. Once the egg is implanted then your body starts releasing pregnancy hormones HCG. Prior to implantation you are not pregnant. Prior to implantation your body does not even know that you conceived.

It takes a while for the HCG to build in your system. Your body's reaction to HCG is what causes pregnancy symptoms. Home pregnancy test look for HCG to conclude pregnancy. You must have enough HCG in your urine to register a positive.  There really is no point in taking a early detection pregnancy test earlier than 12 dpo.  It is even better to just wait until your period is late.  It is a waste of money and sanity because there is always the possibility you could be pregnant and it is not registering because you don't have enough HCG in your system yet. When you do take a home pregnancy test, use your first morning's urine. It contains the highest level of HCG.

A fertilized egg doesn't start to implant until 5-7 days.  It takes the egg five days just to travel to the uterus.  And it can take up to 10 days to implant and begin hormone levels.  A doctor won't even bother doing a beta quantum pregnancy test (which actually measures the hcg levels) until you're at least 10 days post ovulation because the levels are too low and not accurate so a home pregnancy test will most likely be a waste of time before 10 days.
