Question:

What present should my friend buy me?

As a favor for my friend, I took good care of his dog for a few days while he was on vacation. I didn't want to accept any presents or money in return because we are great friends, and we think of each other as family, but he is dying to buy me something and wont stop talking about it. I said to him that if he really wants to give me something in return that badly, just give me money. He said he wants to give me something memorable because money is just money. I don't care much about getting money because I have other ways to make money. He knows I like pet Snakes and Tarantulas, but my parents get too freaked out from them! I was thinking of some kind of electronic, maybe a PSP? A PSP will cost more then he owes me, but I can pay the rest. Any other suggestions? I am in grade 12 right now, so i don't have time for a lot of gaming. I want the PSP for other reasons then just the games such as listening to music, and maybe web brows here and there, and it'll be entertaining while on the road on weekends. I have too many cloths, and i'll grow out of them, so clothing is out of the question. What do you guys think?

  1. I agree with Red, just let him buy you dinner or pay for a movie at the cinema.

  2. Just let him buy you a dinner or something, a PSP is worth a lot more than some dog sitting, and it's a bit rude to ask for somethign that expensive without him offering.

  3. You have a lot of cloths now do you?

Just tell him to surprise you.  I think it is rather tacky to ask for anything let alone a PSP for watching a friend who you consider family's dog.  Just tell him that there is nothing you really want or need so he can just get you whatever or return the favor when you need one.

  4. Maybe a shirt would be nice. PSP's are like as much as Xbox 360's. heheehe. p**p.

  5. Gift Certificates. They aren't technically cash so instead of coming across arrogant, the next time he insists he has to give you something, just say hey, ya know ~such and such~ is my favorite restaurant or I haven't seen a movie in a while and he can get you a couple of bucks towards doing something fun.

  6. something cheap - dinner and/or movie or a hat with a dog on it

something expensive - necklace, ring or braclet

something in between - mp3 player 2gb or less, head phones, or a portrait of you, him and his dog

    hope i helped, goodluck!!

  7. Well if he wants to get you something as a memory of taking care of his dog, maybe he can give you something with the type of dog he has on it.
