  1. £480 on my BBC Micro Model B with 32K RAM, Watford DFS and a 40/80 Track Disk Drive . . . ah the joys of Revs, Elite, Snapper, Frak, etc. etc.

    I still play those games via an emulator . . . happy memories.

  4. My first PC was an Amstrad 1640DD and it cost me £150.00, plus another £30.00 for the printer.  All second hand when I bought it.  Probably worth about a fiver now, if someone was willing to buy it!!!!

    It was little more than a glorified calculator, compared to today's machines!!

    I built myself a PC, some sort of cyrix processor

    Only £400 or so, plus modem, scanner, then later more RAM.

  10. My first was a hand-me-down from my brother, it had Windows 95 and no CD drive. The first I paid for I think cost me £120 from a computer fayre.

  12. First PC bought in 1995 and it cost £1200 - 2GB hard drive and a 133mHz processor 32mb ram and a 14.4 modem running windows 95.
