  1. Based mainly on enlightenment ideas about the consent of the governed, and in the rejection of  the idea of sovereignty by birthright (royalty). In addition they borrowed ideas from other groups that had similar constitutions or treaties, such as the Iroquois Confederacy.

BTW the arrows in the eagle claw of the great seal represent the nations of the Iroquois Confederacy.

  2. A full discussion of that question is beyond the scope of a limited forum such as this.  In horribly oversimplified terms, it reflects what is known as "Classical Liberalism", as defined by men like Pain, Hume, Voltaire, and Montesquieu.  The key principle was the protection of Human Liberty by preserving such things as Property Rights, the Right of the Individual to the Fruits of His Own Labor, Limited Government, and Free Markets, all of which are clearly addressed in both the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.  It also reflected the belief held by most of the Founding Fathers that the Citizenry must be armed to protect themselves not only from Foreign threats but from their own Government if it threatened to become tyrannical.

  3. the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

  4. i dont know

  5. It was founded as a republic and  the rights of an individual to have freedom and liberty and  the pursuit of happiness .With the freedom of choice to do what you want as long as you do not infringe on the rights of another. Judges were granted the title of honor because the greatest honor a person could have bestowed upon them. Was to be charged with the protection of the people from government by binding it with the chains of the constitution .For with out that protection the people would become helpless victims to be preyed upon. As  they have .
