What problems have you encountered in using a foldable umbrella?

I would like to know if there are problems that the users are experiencing with the umbrella. (e.g. still get wet because the circumference is too small) OR if there are any problems with the current design of foldable umbrella. Thank you.

The complex structure of shorter metal 'legs' between joints, the increased number of joints (versus a normal umbrella), and the thinner gauge of metal used in the 'legs', means that the reliability of the whole umbrella will be less than that of a normal umbrella.

I have had many of these compact umbrellas fail from simple use, or a strong gust of wind.
