  1. the same as any other good car. peugeots are great. im planning on getting a 206cc in about a year. You just need to treat it well and maintain it.

  2. Bad wiring/electrics, leaking sun roof, failing brake system, failing clutch, failing transmission, hideous build quality, poor materials, rust, junk fuel system, etc, etc, etc.....

  3. I think the 206 is Peugeot's most reliable model. I've had over 15 Peugeots including 4 206 model. Peugeot suffers from the electrical system and the air conditioner, also the Al4 automatic transmission is another pain in the b*** anyway as with every used car check the overall condition and be sure that an honest mechanic inspect it. If the previous owner was a good one you'll have many enjoyfull days with the 206.

  4. The fuel injectors don't last forever.

When you are driving the car, you can feel a momentary hesitation from the engine.  As if you are driving too slow in 5th gear.  The peugeot garage may say that you need a new ECU.  900 euro = 700 pounds.

Or you just may need one new injector, 300 euro = 240 pounds.

ask if the injectors have ever been replaced.  If the answer is NO, then you will probably need this part before too long.

The dashboard is all electronic.  Make sure all gauges work, especially the spedometer and tachometer.  This is another expensive, common fault.

Personally, I have read fewer complaints about the 106 and 306.

    good luck.
