Alright, i know that muscle growth is caused when you work out, which tears the muscles, which is why your sore after working out.

My question is, what process causes them to grow back larger?

  1. The process is called hypertrophy. Muscle cells cannot undergo hypoplasia.

    Hypertrophy ibcreases the diameter of each cell,nd the ammount of muscle fibres in each one.


  2. Tears it is when you work more than you do,but that's a good thing thou that's why you have stuff like protein powder that helps it so you tear the muscle but in a better way.

    And to grow back larger work out.

    HYPERPLASIA  -which means an increase in number of cells

    HYPERTROPHY-increase in size of cells

    when you work out, to compensate for the need  muscle cells increase in size &number, with more increase in size of cells than their number as muscle cells have limited regenerating capacity
