  1. We should know whether this is plant or animal, so that we know whether to consider photosynthesis, conversion of sugar to starch etc.

    In animal cells or plant cells out of the sun, energy is prroduced by the ribosomes, mostly,

    It may or may not be stored, within the cell. The energy may be stored in molecular bonds as sugars or fats, or yet as lactic acid... depending on what kind of cell it is. Energy is also stored  as proteins. All animal cells store energy as cholesterol in the membrane around the cell.


  2. All matter produces energy in some form. Quirks- smaller than atoms contain "energies" that science is still trying to answer. From there- atoms contain energy in their basic components. Atoms make up compounds that also contain energy. Then, they make up cells that then have their own structure. Cells contain mitochondria which is like an engine that processes energy. Energy is transfered from one thing to another and never really destroyed. ATP is an energy made by cells and used in its functions.
