They both produce the same if they are the same size fish, just in different ways.

Goldfish have no stomachs, so you see more solid poo than you do liquid.  Cichlid will produce more liquid waste since most of their solid foods are digested by the stomach mixed with water and are released as liquid not solid.

Goldfish have very little to no liquid waste discharge.

They are just about the same, just one you can see the other is not as noticeable.

goldfish(fancy or common)...compared to any other fresh water fish..goldfish are biggest waste producers..:)..awww..but they are really cute...
