What product and/or what can I do to get superficial scratches out of the paint on my car?

Something I can get at Canadian Tire or Wal-mart would be good!!

  1. I have used 2001 polish with great results...

    If you have a clear coat, it would be better to forget about the superficial stuff, and wait to get the whole thing done at one time.


  2. meGuires scratch X should work and then wax the car and use a orbital buffer to polish.

  5. I have tried all the special 'scratch removers' and none of them worked! The best thing I have found is McGuires Cleaner/wax. It is a very mild cleanser that can smooth light scratches. I do not recommend polishing compound. It is very abrasive and will remove the clearcoat surrounding the scratch in addition to some paint.
