What program can i download to uninstall broken programs on my laptop?

avast anti virus will not update or unistall form my laptop so i can re-install it, is there a program that will let me remove it?

Be careful with Revo Uninstaller, especially if it offers to delete stuff from the registry

Try uninstalling in safe mode

Try re-booting your PC in safe mode then using the add/remove program tool in windows control panel.

That *should* do the trick.

No, you should just remove it manually.

First make sure AVG does not have a uninstall feature, fund it in your start menu and see.

If that does not work, go to your C: Drive and find the folder and delete the ENTIRE folder, then remove the shortcuts and it should be gone.

go off line and try.

while you are on line the program can "stay in touch with it's web site"

off line you only have the "dead"file.

I always recommend the following be stored on computers and install them myself on any I repair.

Avast Home Edition http://avast.com

Run a full scan once a month. I find this the best free anti-virus software

SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com

Update and run a full scan once a week.

Spybot Search and Destroy http://safer-networking.org

Update, Immunize and scan once a week.

ccleaner http://ccleaner.com

Run the Cleaner scan and remove all it finds

Run the Registry scan and fix all issues but repeat this until nothing is detected.

Run this daily.

Some people just prefer the Windows one but this is better.

Check that you don't need to defragment monthly and also run a Disk Cleanup monthly too.

go to www.cnet.com and download ccleaner it has an uninstaller tool and some other features that might help fix it so you can remove it so you can install again

it wont update or unistalyy cos your pc is already infected.....you need a wipe and reinstall to be sure its safe.
