What programmes do I need to download movies?

I have Limewire PRO do i need something to convert the file format to wmv ect.? i want the programmes to be free! or i could download them off a torrent if the cost! do I need like nero? or could i use wmp to burn them? TO A CD DISK? do i need a menu creator? ALSO THIS IS NOT COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT IM USING A LEGAL SERVICE!
