What programs for computer security

Question

I have Windows Vista and was wondering what programs I can download for free that will help keep my pc safe.I would like a good spyware,firewall,antivirus program for free that works great.Any ideas?Thanks

Avast is your best bet. This one gives you active protection.

As a pro in the computer repair field I would urge you to reconsider going with a free client.  Even Norton is better the nmost free clients out there.

Spend the 50 bucks and get proper protection.  I use PCTOOLs IS.  It's one of the better ones out there.

MALWAREBYTES.....ANTI-MALWARE

DONT BOTHER WITH FIREWALLS, WINDOWS FIREWALLS ARE GOOD ONES

AVG free with built in Anti-Spyware is my choice, as for Firewall, i don't use one lol. AVG is very light on resources which i love. Hope this helps you
