What programs should I buy for my new Macbook?

Never had a Mac before :P I want to buy some programs, but I have no clue where to start. Any suggestions?

You just can't wait to spend money, right?

Why don't you first use it and see what you actually need before dumping out your cash?

Most people use MS Office, which is great, but Open Office is free and almost as good for 98% of users.

Macs come so well equipped right out of the box, you just should wait to see what other stuff you need.

Anyways

1. If your a student,colegestudent, or adult

The main thing you would really need is Microsoft Word

But there's IWorks for free

2. If you really like Photos, get iPhoto or idk i forgot the name of it

3. Other then that, you don't really need to buy programs cause MacBooks are already preinstalled with all the good programs

Go to the Apple Store. I think you should buy either the Microsoft Word for Mac or iWork- iWork is just like publisher, power point and word only the Mac version.

Also, get the Warranty- just in case! :)
