Given the dimensions I would create a series of raised bed gardens with lots of bird feeders/houses.

If you have ever tasted a home grown tomato or cucumber than you know it is the best way to teach children to eat healthy.  I did cantaloupe with my 3 yr old in addition to the traditional veggies this summer and he tries everything we grow.
