  1. A crash helmet is a legal requirement!

However, if you can't afford protection - don't ride!  That goes for many situations!

  2. just a crash helmet to be legal, you're body might get smashed to bits but your head should be ok, (for id. purposes)   save up and buy the most safety equipment you can...

  3. In Great Britain, the only legal requirement is a crash helmet, with an E.C. / B.S.A.U. safety mark.

Anything else depends on how much you value your body...

  4. well i dunno bout d law side of it..bt they r there to protect u.....if u dnt wear leather boots..gloves and some sort of v heavy jacket...cause if u fall off ull b skinned alive with no protection...my bro has a tiny motorbike/dirtbike and all his gear cost mre than d bike itself so maybe u should have considered all d costs b4 u bought 1

  5. minimum in most state's is a helmet for both rider and passenger ,I wear a full face helmet ,pants or blue jeans ,gloves ,boots that cover my ankles, and a riding jacket but when the temps claim up in the mid 80's and up I lose the jacket and wear a long sleeved shirt

  6. cycling shorts and a vest

  7. Try this iste............

  8. It depends on where you live. Different states have different regulations.

  9. It will depend on each State's version of the Vehicle & Traffic Law.

In NYS, motorcycle operators and riders are required to wear an authorized "DOT" motorcycle helmet. The operator is also mandated to have some type of eye protection.

As for clothing, there are no requirements, which is evident as I've seen everything from heavy denim & leather to "flip-flops" & short-shorts.

  10. Helmet is the only garment that the law sets provisions for in the UK so theoretically you could wear nothing else other that covering your modesty.

Now common sense must prevail and some body protection is a must as the road is d**n hard and your skin d**n soft and when the two meet it d**n well hurts and thats even with protective clothing on so the pain is going to be something else without

Buy your helmets and then try for at least a jacket and trousers.  Sturdy boots not steel capped.

Really get as much as you can afford and add to it

Ride safe but try to get a bit of gear.  It's gonna be better for you if you do spill off

  11. It is usually a good idea, and a legal requirement to wear a Motorcycle helmet, then protective trousers, and leathers.
