What do you mean by province? The state is Rheinland Pfaelz( the latin verisionpalatinate is also correct, but in germany we don't say that).!! The province/region is Pfaelzerwald. The county is Kaiserslautern ( i remember the lic. plates)

Landstuhl is in the province of Saarland which is in the south western corner of germany on the border of france, Landstuhl is probably about a 2  hour drive to france...
