I think I can take the greyhound, but I can't find any maps or details on fares. Are there any buses? Trains? Anything?

  1. From Santa Cruz to LA there are trains, planes and buses.  The train (AMTRAK) takes you along the Pacific coastline.  Maps are on-line with fares.

  2. Call 1-800-555-1212 and ask for Greyhound or Amtrak Reservations.   They'll give you the toll-free #, then when you call it, the company agent will give you the times...ask to have a schedule sent to you in the mail...or get the address of the closest one to you and go there and pick up a printed schedule.

    Have fun

  3. Take airplane is fast and efficient, take hwy #17 bus to San Jose, then you can take light rail to SJC airport, book southwest.com ding fare for $49 one-way to LA, from SJC you can take Amtrak or bus to LA too.
