  1. welll they keep ur fingers from getting dirty, or rocks from getting in them i guess. i didnt even know they made lineman gloves

  2. Becuase certain blocks require the lineman to push his fists into the D linemens pads, and its done hard, that's why the gloves have bads to prevent breaking and bruises

  3. Well centers use them for a better grip on the ball for the transfer to the QB.  Outside the center the gloves are usually thicker gloves that just help from brusies and bending fingers.  It also keepstheir hands warm in colder temperatures.  Other then that I don't see any other purpose.

  4. grip, padding against cuts, sores, scrapes, anything to protect ur hands, and yes to protect your fingers.  pretty hard to block w/ a broken finger

  5. also gives a grip so that they don't slip on the grass.

  6. prevents cuts, bruises and rashes

  7. I personally found them useful as a weapon, a nice hard smack under an opponents chin is a good move if you can get away with it and the glove helps keep your hands from getting bruised while doing it

  8. i think they help pretty much anyone, i think they're used for a better grip on things.
