  1. Countries in the Middle East such as Saudi Arabia, the royal family actually makes the laws. But in England, the Prime Minister makes the English laws.

  2. Earthly "Royalty" is a foreshadow,

type or example of the ultimate and true Royalty

    that is JESUS CHRIST.

    HE is KINGS of KINGS,

    and LORD of LORDS!

  3. Depending upon how popular the royal family is in any particular country, it can generate a tremendous amount of tourist dollars (think of how many yanks come to see the queen and the palace!)

In some countries, the royal family actually rules the country (as in Saudi Arabia, Bhuton, etc.).

Regardless of whether they actually rule or not, they serve as a figure head and as a symbol of the nation.

  4. As a member of the Constitutional Monarchist Association, I second the words of *Rachelle Cadence* above.

  5. To make some people("royals") who procreate have incredibly lucky children.

  6. The only one and true Royality is Jesus Christ. He is our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  7. As Head of State, the monarchy undertakes constitutional and representational duties which have developed over one thousand years of history. In addition to these State duties, the monarchy has a less formal role as 'Head of Nation'. They acts as a focus for national identity, unity and pride; gives a sense of stability and continuity; officially recognises success and excellence; and supports the ideal of public and voluntary service.
