  1. You need a degree to be able to enter teacher training.

Google teacher training for more info

  2. oooo yes yes hot for teacher.

  3. go to college and get your bachelor's degree in elementary education.  then you will need to pass any tests your state requires.  my state requires 3 tests

  4. You would either need a normal BA/BSc degree followed by a PGCE (post-graduate certificate of education) or you can do specific courses to be a teacher that give you QTS (qualified teacher status) at the end of it.

The best thing to do is check out ucas, and find out what subject would suit you the best.

  5. It depends on whether you want to teach primary or secondary:

Primary - You need a minimum of 3 GCSEs grade C+ in English, Science and Maths. Preferably also a GCSE C+ in a foreign language.

You then need to study A Levels, a national curriculum subject is preferable. EG English, Maths, Science etc. You can study anything really, as in Primary teaching you teach the entire national curriculum, and do not sepcialise in one particular subject.

You will then attend a full time university course, in Primary Education (Eg Sheffield Hallam Uni do a great course called BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS).

As stated this includes QTS - Qualified Teacher Status, without which you cannot teach.

Secondary teaching - Same GCSEs, A Levels in the subject you wish to specialise in, EG History. Then you need to attend a full time university course in the same subject that you wish to teach, EG history again. This will be followed by a one year post-grad course called a PGCE in which you gain your QTS so you can teach.

There are of course, many other routes into teaching, including gaining a degree and then working in a school while you get your QTS, etc etc - this being just one route. You have to really look around at what else you can do.

Please ask for any more help.

  6. You need to take education courses in college and in your final year of school you will student teach and have to pass several certification exams.

That is what is required in the state of PA and is probably similar in all states!

    Good luck!!!

I love teaching, but remember it is a lot of work!!
