What qualifications do I need to be a white water guide

I live in Arkansas and float in canoes allot. But that's about it. I want to work in Colorado on a big river like the Arkansas...

Are there companies that will train me? Or do I need things like CPR and rope tying classes?

Don't forget that you have to be a crazy adrenaline junky knarly rafter dude (or woman) too.

With the rafter guides ive seen,  you must also be comfortable without showering for extended periods.

in ohio:  water rescue skill, first aid , cpr, and supervised training with a guide for 6 months.  must be over 18.  depending if it is a private place or public.  you may need a drug and police records verified
