  1. The subjects you are taking for A-levels sound just right for Medicine. So if you are able to get to uni straight after A -level, you should be able to complete your studies for 5 years or 6 years, depending on which uni u go to. That is the minimum number of years, not including instances like failing any courses or failing a semester, or taking a year off for research, travels etc.

I think it cost around AUD20,000 per semester.

After completing your A-level, you will have to go on medical interviews and it would be good if you have experienced doing some charity works (eg, volunteer at Austistis Centre, some hospital attachments etc) or have First-Aid certificate or something like that. Just get involved in the activities that would give you the advantage over the other applicants. And in the interviews, you will be asked lots of medically-related questions, so be prepared with issues like euthanasia, stem cell research, ethics of abortion etc. Just consistently updating your knowledge in the latest medical issues and have some genuine thoughts about them so that you would be able to answer smoothly.

The medical interview (other than outstanding academic result) is really important in determining whether or not you have what it takes to be a good medical student and a doctor. They will probably also ask you about some medical scenarios and what would you do if you happen to be there. Again, you have to be at least knowledgeable about the basic clinical stuff. It shows that you have really groomed yourself into becoming a health professional.

    Good luck!
