What qualifications do i need to become a teacher?

My advice would be to first go to your state's State Board Of Education website and find out what you need to get certified in that state.  Most likely, you'll need a bachelor's degree in whatever field of teaching you're interested in.  Another good option is to visit a nearby college or university and talk with an advisor about their teaching programs.  They're your best bet. Are you in the US? If so, you will need at least a bachelor's degree and you will need state certification. If you are in the UK, you can go into it with a general BA degree plus PGCE (post grad degree) or a teaching B.Ed.

In the US, some private schools will hire you without a teaching degree.
