What qualifications do you need to be a teacher?

We are doing careers in school. I would like to live in France and teach the English language to primary aged kids.

I don't know about France but I would guess you need to get a teaching degree here and maybe an English minor or major?

I would think you need to complete a 4 year program in Education and English. Followed by a period of actual classroom experiences. Then you will have to apply officially just before you graduate, for the teachign certificates for your state, or country. After graduation you can apply for jobs in the area that is listed on your degreed certificate.
