  1. the main difference between rugby league and all other football codes is that all positions need to know how to tackle effectively. That means not only stopping the player but preventing him from unloading and a quick play the ball

another good 1 is endurance ... 80 minutes on a rugby league field will test you...

To more fully answer the question need to know about which position your interested in.. Are you a speedster who wants to be in the backs .. the brains of the team in the halves ... or a hard worker in the forwards...

  2. speed and major endurance more than that of a football player

    and NO FEAR

  3. you dont necessarily need to have speed... There are many positions in rugby league in which certain physical attributes can benefit... If you are big and strong, and not necessarily fast then you would be most suited to the forwards...

However, if you were agile and have a good passing game, then you would most likely be suited to the backline...

  4. endurance and speed could help espically if you want to be like Lesley Vainakola or the new player Penny. Both have really good speed. Good luck in becoming a rugby league player. :-)

  5. no brain no pain thats all u need
