  1. You would need to go to the college that you intend to go to and talk to a counselor and talk to them about what classes you would need to take. They would have to be ECE classes.

3 to 6 units you would be a teachers aid

12 or more you would be a Qualified Teacher.

These are the type of classes you would have to take but your school the names of the classes would be different.

    Introduction to Child Development

    Early child Development

    Communication  in the Preschool

    The Preschool Child

First Aid and CPR   a must

    Developmental Psychology

    infant and toddler caregiver:Relationship

infant and toddler caregiver:socialzation and Emotional Development

    Hme-Child-Community Relationship

    health and safety for children

    Child abuse education

    I hope this will help.

I have been a Qualified Teacher and Director and I also have my Degree in Social and Behavioral Science and I have worked in Child Care for 20 years.

The People that would help you would be Licensing and they can tell you what classes to take and even the school District. Thats what I did. And they were very helpful.

  2. Depends on where you live and the child care center itself. I am an 18 year old and I am the head teacher of the Preschool age. I graduated from highschool a year ago but I do not attend college nor do I have any certification or degrees. I am not even CPR certified (I am going to look into it though, but it was never a requirement). Also, there are girls working at my center that are even younger than me who do not even have high school diplomas.

So if you are interested I would look around to see what works best for you. Although, if you do have certification or a degree you will always get a higher pay.

  3. patience CPR 1st aid criminal bk ground chk FBI check-physical-

  4. That all depends on the State you live in....I was a licensed child care provider in NV but mine was an at home Provider...I as those who worked in centers had to take communicable diseases as well as CPR....as licensed child care provider I had to have 12 hours a year of education half of which had to deal with children and the other half was CPR (which was every year) and nutrition of fire safety.....Contact your local socail services dept. for child care....
