How about this..  When the President says we need to worry about terrorists and we need to go kill them. (take care of the problem)  He is called a war mongerer, and "playing on our fears" <<A quote from Al Gore himself.  But when Al uses fear tactics he gets a Nobel prize.  Theres this thing called the sun.  We have no control over it.  Sometimes it gets hot and sometime it cools down.  Either way we cant let the government   take control of it..  Anytime you hear about a government program just think of the last time you were at the D.M.V.

The Al Gore fetish the deniers have is pretty baffling to people outside the USA.  It's important to keep in mind two facts

1)  American news is heavily censored, and many news stories are completely suppressed.  The only way an American can know what is going on in the world is to own a short wave radio, and few do.

2)  In the 1960's American education was 5th among developed nations.  Today it has dropped to 26th out of 29.

For these and other reasons, most deniers heard of Anthropogenic Global Warming for the first time from Al Gore's movie (sad as that is).  That explains their fetish.
