What qualifies as a professional reference?

my place off application is requiring it but im not sure who qualifies

The best reference you can have is someone that can speak on your character. It always looks good to list professionals, i.e. doctors, lawyers, attorneys, accountants....just someone in your field or the field that you desire to work in. When the employers call these references, the main thing they are looking for is your work ethic, attendance record, ability to be counted on and anything that will show them the type of person you are. So be sure to put people who will always comment on you positively and not just someone to put on paper.
