  1. im from southcarolina! here if u are under 18 and at home they are resposable for u!!! but u can get WIC for the baby. It buys formula and other things bread milk cheese etc. Check to see if u can get that i did and it helped me alot . since formula is so high. but if ur going to breastfeed. u can still get WIC and use the other food for urself!

  2. Until you are atleast 21 your parents are considered responsible when you are living with them (didn't know that until my stepsister moved in with her dad at 20 years old and she was married with a son and they still said that is the rule).  They then go by your income.  So as long as you are living at home they would go by your parents income and legally at 16 you are a minor so if they don't feed you then they are guilty of neglect.  Now if you were to move in with someone else then you may qualify for some help.  I would contact Job and Family Services in your area and ask them the questions as they will be able to help you better.

  3. In my state they take the whole families income into account, even the parents.

  4. Once you have a doctor confirmed pregnancy you are seperate from your parents and can most likely apply for food stamps.

BTW you should check out freecycle.com  Some people have old baby clothes and gear they just want to get rid of.
