What qualities should a best friend have?

I have 2 friends which I suppose r better than my other friends. One of them helps me in eveything but never supports me when someone teases me or sumthing like that. she also joins them and starts teasing. But when i get angry on her she tries to pacify me as no one ever wouls. the other one is also the same and she sometimes does not respect my opinions and makes me feel insulted like anything. but she always takes my side when im in trouble. what do u think who is my best friend? or none of them is? im confused. pls help

but it depends....

as in 1st case...she is just as other friend

as for 2nd case....i may ask u if ur opinion are nice one or not....

but she must hear it if she is ur best friend and not make u feel insulted....

SO BOTH OF THEM ARE UR NORMAL FRIEND....JUST GOOOD FRIENDS....CAN'T COMPARE WIT BEST FRIENDSS..

a friend is some one who teases you..helps u and be thrs for u..look u said once ur first fren u mentioned realises u feel bad at once she stops it n cums n pacifies u...dats frenship..u can mayb talk to her in private n tell her its hurtin u if u tease her...she will stop if she respects u..

and regardn second one u ahve not mentioned while discussin wat she has not respected ur opinions..if its normal conversation n she has not respected ur opinions juslev it...some ppl can be dramtic abt othr ppl opinions..but if she insults u tell her to shut up coz no one can insult u badly wen u feel hurt.

other option is to just laugh it off wen she insults u...

for eg. she says ur such a fool priya( for eg coz i dunno ur real name)...u can start laughin and say not as much as u...and gve her a sweet smile..

jus take things cooly. wud like to give u personal advice frm my side. friends are not everything. u wont beleve it thr was this fren of mine who was like i wont leav u no matter wat ...and bffe... she ditched me recently fr her guy n her family..

im not sayin dont trust anyone...but dont be dependable on anyone...

and if u feel teribly alone...i ll b a good friens to u. im dimple 18...tkcr

Doesn't sound like either is a best friend. A best friend would back you up no matter what, stand up and beside her girl. Friends do not join the teasers unless they are on that side, not yours. I'd say dump them and find new friends, freinds that will love and support you no matter what. We all need backup in life, girl, and a true friend will be there for you as much as you are there for them.

different friends have different qualities and we use  them (for lack of better word )for different situations.  

If you are feeling let down by a friend it might be time to move on.

We out grow friends as we mature at a different rate. Also our interests change. Friends rarely last forever. You will tend to ignore the things that bother you about a person because you like other qualities. Never let a friend hurt you if you are good friends talk it out.

According to available information, i feel  first one is a little bit bilateral type and may change according to the situation. Come to second one, she is with u when u r in trouble.so she may better one.

Friend means he/she doesnt need to accept all of ur opinions always .He/she also have individual opinions and have right to express outside.i think you are a  sensitive one, thats why you are feeling insult when your friend make comments.Here it is ur problem that how you are  accepting   comments. You have to use ur commonsense to analysis importance of friends comments if it is not upto the benchmark just listen and ignore it and simply say her that "Different tongues have different tastes"
