What questions are likely to be asked by a the US embassy when being interviewed for a Non Immigrant Visa.?

  1. On top of "proving" that you're planning to come home (ie. showing that you own a home or car, family, job offer, etc.), they'll take into consideration IN the US.  If you have a lot of family in the US, that may work against you because they  may see it as incentive for you to overstay your visa and not come home.  Also, make sure that you have your funding papers available to show that you have enough money for your visit.


  2. They always want to make sure you've got an incentive to return home when your visa runs out. Thus, what kind of ties do you have to your home?

    Do you have a bank account? A job? A family? A house?

    If you can answer "yes" to all these questions, you have  a good chance at getting the visa.
