  1. Almost nothing, any adult can get a PO Box.

  2. They want to know what size box you want, your name and address - maybe a phone number.  That's about it.

  3. When I went to get my PO Box they asked me what size. They also asked me to fill out a form, my drivers license and the title to my car (which I thought was odd).

  4. None of the answers so far are right. You need two forms of identification to open a box. One needs to be a picture ID. Both pieces need to have your address on them. We have used car titles/registrations or even a piece of mail that you have received at your address.

You will also have to decide what size box you want. You can go to www.usps.com and click on 'PO Box Service'. This is currently in the white area, third column under 'Receiving Mail'. This site will tell you the hours the PO is open, the costs of the box and whether or not boxes are available at that particular office.
