Mine would have to be "It's not about understanding it's about not giving up" and it was from the movie "what dreams may come" said by Robin Williams. That quote hits me because I usually do give up but then I think of that and then I get back to trying everytime I fail and I try not to give up hope and I do something til I succeed at the goal

  4. There are so many quips and one liners I could list, funny and/or meaningful, but since you stated "helped you through," I must mention Desiderata by Max Ehrmann.  Reading Desiderata has, at times, kept me sane when I felt my world was insane.  It has calmed me and has encouraged me many, many times since I first read it about 40 years ago.

In case you don't remember it, the first verse is:

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,

    And remember what peace

    There may be in silence.

  5. "Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut."

  6. Not really a quote...but just the assurance that everyone who ever suceeded took at least 14 attempts and fourteen failures...that great people weren't born that way...for example great artists did hundreds of sketches before they were happy and/or skilled enough to proceed with the final painting etc. That most business people spent years getting to the top and failed along the way but kept hanging in there ...the first woman to win a race at Indy 500 was 26 years old and had raced 50 races not getting placings but perservered and won today!

For me "God is able to make all grace abound to me so that in all things, at all times, having everything I need,  I will abound in every good work."
