  1. Condoms.

  2. Depends on where you're going to be and what time of the year. Remember, shorts are frowned upon, especially for men. They wont even let you into the Sistine Chapel if you're a man whose legs arent covered or anyone with shoulders uncovered.

Hotels should have shampoo, but it wouldnt hurt to pack some in your luggage. Remember, airport security is strict so you cant bring it on the plane as carry on.

If you're bringing anything electric make you you have converters. And I suggest going to an electronic store and really getting one that works for your products. Because certain things need specific converters. Like things that use heat like hair dryers. And laptops may need specific ones. Last year my hair straightener wouldnt work in my converter, so make sure you have the right kind.

  3. Comfortable shoes. They have 220 current there so forget taking your own appliances (shaver, hairdryer, electric toothbrush) unless you decide to buy a voltage converter. Otherwise, what you can get here, you can get there. But expect to get what we would consider a small coke when you order their large. You have to get your liquids into a quart size bag - and it must be a quart size bag - so minimize what you take. Depending on the hotel grade, you may not get shampoo there so to be safe, buy the trial size at Target to take with you. You don't say if you are going north or south. Sunscreen is a must but buy it there unless you pack it in your checked luggage. A hat is good, too. A money belt is not a bad idea; notorious for pickpockets on buses and subways.

  4. Idk a website list, but you'll want to take at least one skirt, a hat/head scarf, and a shirt with sleeves.  Many of the churches etc won't let you in if you are dressed "inappropriately".  I carried one of those gauzy crinlked skirts in my bag cause they pack down into nothing and then just pulled it on over my shorts.  Also, carry change with you to pay for bathrooms when you are out.  And don't expect ice....

If I can be of more help, let me know

  6. Get the right amount of money, and your favorites things. If your going to stay there alone, make sure to get something special that was given to you by someone who cares about you so you would remember them while your there.by the way you can get shampoo and soap in Italy.

  7. pack a compass. We went last month and were dying for one. It just really helps to know which way you are facing when you are looking for a location. ESPECIALLY in the twisty streets of Venice!
