  1. Drive defensively.

    Leave yourself an out.

    Do not tailgate.

INDICATE your turns and lane changes.

    Drive smoothly.

Drive with skill and confidence. Both of which comes through experience.

  2. Get out of my way, or I blow your tires out.

  3. Don't do anything that will distract you from driving. Example, eating/drinking or texting/calling using your cellphone. Bad. Always keep your eyes on the road too.

  4. Always be aware of where the other guy is and anticipate the unexpected from him and you will never get in an accident.

  5. mirrors and courtesy

  6. 1. Always obey the traffic laws.  They may be old, they may seem stupid, but they're for your safety.

    2. Use your turn signals.  You're not asking permission, you're letting other drivers know what you intend to do.  Knowing what you intend to do helps them prepare for your lane change.

    3. Drive as if everyone else on the road was someone you love.  You wouldn't drive in a manner that would endanger someone you love, would you?  Therefore, pay attention to what you're doing.

    4. Don't put yourself in a position that leaves you feeling rushed.  If you know that there's usually heavy traffic, or road construction, leave early.  Plan ahead so that you're less inclined to drive recklessly just to keep an appointment.  The more harried you are, the more likely you are to make bad judgements that could cost yourself and others.

  7. Yee who has the gold makes da rules!

  8. Whilst learning:

Know what you're doing and the rough route you'll take.

Understand how manual (or autos) work before you even attempt to start a car.

Pay attention to what the instructor is saying.

    After passing:

Keep eyes on road (obviously you have to do this whilst learning too)

Be aware of other drivers around you - some are silly.

Always use mirrors to their full potential.

Never drive too fast - nor too slow.

Be respectful and considerate on the road.

    Stop at pedestrain crossing.

    Use indicators.

  9. Indicate!! You know, those little flashing things on the sides of your lights that let people know where you are going and what you are doing!!

  10. watching for other cars, maintaining your speed,

and making sure you have equipment in case anything should go wrong on the road, such as a gas can when you suddenly run out or a jack and spare tire when you blow yours. And kitty litter helps for when you get stuck in snow.

Seriously though, be considerate of other vehicles. This means checking all mirrors before backing up, getting  on and off  the highway and merging in traffic. Its ok to check over your shoulder for these too. Use your turn signals, you have them for a reason. Keep in mind that you can never be sure of what another driver is going to do.

If your a just getting out there on the road avoid eating, and anything to do with a phone. I suggest playing with the radio when you are stopped at a light or sign.

  11. safety first.

That is the very first rule of driving.

    Good Luck...

  12. treat everyone like an idiot including yourself.
