Southbank isn't really a suburb as it directly adjoins the CBD of Melbourne though on the other side of the (very narrow) Yarra River.

It's fairly close to South Melbourne Market which is fantastic for fresh produce, meat, fish and poultry, South Melbourne shopping and CBD shopping.
