  1. welll let me tell you this.i have very bad feet and toes and had surgery on them and they put pins in my toes to try to straighten them out.well it didn't work and i was told i would never be able to wear women's shoe's again.so i had to start buying a smaller size in men's.BUT! then came along women's

"curves" as in the excercise place that's only for women.well let me tell you ALL of their shoes are a one ,no two foot wonder my friend.even their sandals! they are sooo

comfortable and for some reason,i don't even care what, they don't even rub my toes the wrong way.i have 5 different pair and 3 of the sandals,so if i can wear them with my feet,i can swear by them for any women who wants good walking and running shoes.

  2. I love the newest nike pegasus (with integrated nike + running) They are great for running, but can also work as a walking shoe.

    try them!

  3. I know everyones different but some good shoes i like to ring in are the nike air zoom hayward 3's super comfortable. -Mark Dotson, high school track star.

  4. If you are a competitive runner, you know what is best for you. If you are running daily just for fun and keeping fit, try what is the most comfortable for you and check your body mechanics.

Body mechanics means how you do your runs efficiently. Check your form, position, weight, stride, impact of foot, etc.

  5. get fitted at a new balance store. they have specialist for people with running /walking issues

  6. The two are quite different, and what you need for running is likely to differ from what you need for running to be honest.  I'd say your best bet is to buy two different shoes, sorry.  I know it will cost more, but proper running shoes make SUCH a difference!  I recommend Saucony shoes for running.  There are many different types depending on what you need from a running shoe.  Walking shoes need to support your ankle more than a running shoe, but if you don't walk much you may be able to get away with a running shoe.

  7. Go to a store that specializes in running, and get fitted for shoes. There's really no one "best" brand or style, because the fit and support you need in a shoe varies depending on your feet and the way that you walk/run.

I'm a mild pronator [my feet roll in a little when I run], and the brands that fit me best are Brooks and Saucony.
