  1. Before you serve, visualize yourself going through the motion of serving and of the ball going over the net.

  2. set a routine and follow it everytime you're up to serve♥

  3. Okay, I've always been the shortest one on all my volleyball teams and I just go back to the service line with so0o0 much confidence. Sometimes, I think to myself where I want to aim and serve the ball. Just go back there and think positive. And also, maybe try singing a favorite song to yourself that makes you happy. Develop a routine.

  4. Breath.

Take a DEEP breath and let it out very slowly.....

Relax your legs and the pull all your streght up and serve the ball!! You'll feel ten times vetter then you did before when the ball goes over the net?!!

  5. I used to have this problem and question too because I'd be a great server, just not during games. There was so much pressure that I'd move too fast and contact the ball completely wrong. Somehow I just got used to it. It helped if I got the ball quickly and stoodthere for a moment looking at the other girls trying to pick one out to aim for (even thoughI knew my aim was shaky) but by focusing on them I was completely into the game. After waiting for the ref to blow the whistle, we get about 5-8 seconds so depending who you play for, find that out and use your time wisely. Don't rush. Take as long as you want within that range. Get into a habit even in practice. every time you serve bounce the ball twice. Or 3 times or drop it once. Whatever you have to do to feel comfortable in practice, keep doing it. (It takes 7 times to make a bad habit and 28 times for a good one!) So whenever you establish a routin in your serve, don't look up at the crowd or anyone in it, give yourself space behind that line in case you take any steps so you don't have to worry about foot faults, do your routin so your body feels like it's just practice, toss the ball the same you do in practice, and hit it. You may still have trouble getting used to the pressure but if you make a routine and stick to it you'll be untouchable, I served 6 aces in a row during one game so it helps! :D

  6. slap hands with your teammates as you approach the service area so that you get confidence. take a few deep breaths. don't serve before you're ready. develop a routine, like dribbling the ball a couple of times or cleaning the ball on your jersey.

  7. Breathe.  Concentrate on taking a deep breath or two.  Some people like to bounce the ball.

I like to take a deep breath and then stare where I am going to serve.  Since I am concentrating on my target, I do not concentrate on my nerves or missing my serve.

  8. i also play volleyball im on a club team i play for Balboa Bay

before you serve take a deep breathe and make up a routine i bounce the ball three time then once then  i sevre hope i helped you ace it up girl

  9. Ok, something that I have to do before I serve it, is hit the ball against the ground a few times. And, as silly as this sounds, I think of something that makes me feel good or confident nefore I serve.

  10. It is always good to have a routine when you serve like (bouncing the ball 3 times) if you don't have one, make one and do it every time. Also make sure to take some deep breaths and concentrate on what you r doing.

Just make sure ur routine isn't too long. Good Luck!

  11. sing mary had a little lamb lol

seriously....these 2 girls on my club team couldnt serve at first and that song helped.

one of them had a REALLY powerful serve but she just got too nervous.. and the other one wasnt good at all but she got it eventually by singing that song.

  12. think about how mad your coach team and you will be if you miss it the determination will over power your serve and you will make it trust me....

  13. I always just concentrate on hitting the ball with my palm and on getting it over the net. Block out all other thoughts. Even if it doesn't get over the net or go straight, have faith in your team to help recover.
