These suggestions apply to the canadian side of Niagra Falls.

Well, if you're going for a day or two, there are so many attractions to see.  If you're looking for something a little toned down, it's worth getting tix to "maid of the mist."  It takes you on a cool open boat ride near the waterfalls.  If you want to walk around and do lots of things, check out an area called "Clifton Hill."  It's a popular area that is filled with so many upbeat, fun things to do.  It's great to walk around there with friends or family.  Things to do on the hill include 3-D movie rides, so many cool, independent shops, that sell everyhting from nice jewellery to small souveneirs.  You should go in at least one haunted house on Clifton hill too.  There are so many to choose from.  You can also visit the guiness records museum, and theres even an amazing "Hershey" chocolate factory.  For meals, I suggest going to the massive "Hard Rock Cafe," or even "Wolfgang Puck."  For a more elegant dining experience, check out the rainbow room restaraunt.

If you want to gamble, there are casinos you can go to.  For a guaranteed good time, you cant go wrong with the classic Casino Rama.

  

Whatever you choose to do, try to pack as many things into your time as possible.

Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, and go to the US side for the boardwalk tour. Walk the Rainbow Bridge. Head towards Lake Ontario and visit the Butterfly Garden, the Whirlpool, and take a jet boat tour.

On the American Side.. about 20 minutes from the border.. there is a wonderful shopping outlet where you can buy tons of nice clothes for decent prices...  I believe its called Niagara Fashion Outlets...

On the Canadian Side, Clifton hill is tons of fun... it has everything from Wax houses to fun houses to everything. It's really nice.
