Not a whole lot.  You can expect some to have better sensitivity and receive the TV signals easier but you can only get so sensitive.  A better antenna would probably make more difference in reception.  Some provide RF pass-through when the converter is off and some don't.  They all do the same thing, convert the digital signals into analog for an analog TV set.
