There is a difference between being a "Weatherman" and being a Meteorologist.  A Meteorologist is a College graduate specializing in meteorology.  Meteorologists are employed as "Weathermen" by T.V. programs.  Meteorologists are also employed by any business needing specialists in meteorology such as the FAA, NASA, research programs, etc.

    The primary difference between Meteorologists and "Weathermen" are their education.  Meteorologists are usually much deeper into Meteorology whereas "Weathermen" are trained Meteorologists, but also skilled in public speaking.
