  1. i know HADITH HADITH!!!!

  2. Well, the Qur'an tells us most of the important things which are to be avoided during fasting; eating, drinking, and mating:

002.187 Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.

    Al-Qur'an, 002.187 (Al-Baqara [The Cow])

The only things left are avoiding obscene language and fighting which are found within the Hadith.

  3. Ha, ha! Now that's a seriously cool point.

How shall we infer that evil talk and various other things are forbidden in Ramadan? Is it haram to use a siwak or brush ur teeth during Ramadan?

    Would like to know.

The complete Hajj procedure along with it's conditions are not in the Quran either. Neither is the percentage of zakat.

EDIT 1: @Adam---stoning for a lot of sins in the hadiths? I don't get it, friend. Can u please explain?

Can u also explain the details of Hajj, salat and zakat from the Quran?

EDIT 2: @Adam---I'm going for iftar. Inshallah, I'll adress these issues soon.

    EDIT 3: @ Adam---I'm back.

“Can you imagine having to dismemeber someone, brand their eyes and leave them to die in the desert? Who wouldn't be disturbed and made into a monster by a thing like that? I guarantee, no Messenger of God could do it.”

YES, we can imagine it, friend. If that’s a monstrous deed, look at these ayahs from the Quran.

    (Al Maidah)

And We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal.". (45)

    NOTE: Eye for eye!

    (Al Maida: 33)

The recompense of those who wage war against Allâh and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off from the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter. (33)

    NOTE: All these harsh punishments!

My friend, as far as pleasing the people is concerned to improve our image, since they consider us barbaric people---

    (Al Baqara: 120)

Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) till you follow their religion.

Even these ayahs are enough to make u a brutal villain:

And (as for) the make theif and the female thief, cut off (from the wrist joint) their (right) hands as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allâh. And Allâh is All-Powerful, All-Wise. (38)

As u like to give logical arguments my friend, consider this. A married adulterer who has the halal path open gets the same punishment as the unmarried fornicator who has no halal way? U might say: “He should get married”. But consider, what if he didn’t have the means?

Anyway, the sin is there and needs a punishment. So why ever should the two get the same punishment?

As for the hadiths, my friend, the basic principle for the acceptance of a hadith is this: it should not contradict the Quran, and it should not contradict the authentic hadiths. And then their chains of narration are considered in this matter. That is the way muhaddiths have sifted them out. Is there anything wrong with this method, my friend? The hadiths, at the time of the sifting, were not so old that their chains of marration couldn’t be detected.

This clears up the jumble. There’s nothing about a mess here. Any two authentic hadiths won’t contradict. As for the people, u know it very well that even without the hadiths, they’ll have plenty of religious matters to fight about. It’s better actually, I believe that the hadiths have cleared many things which need clarification in the Quran.

As for asking valid questions about religion, there’s nothing wrong with that. That increases knowledge. It’s the needless questions which cause trouble. As the Quran says:

“And ask the knowledgeable ones, if u don’t know”.

How do u pray ur salah without any Quranic clarification? And if u forget a rakah or make a mistake, how to amend that? Pray the whole salat again? Or?

As for Hajj, my friend, have u performed Hajj this way? let’s say that u decide to do only what is in the Quran. What if someone makes a mistake? Misses something out?

Do they do the whole Hajj again? Or just that part? Or?

EDIT 4: @Adam---OK, I'd love to discuss this. Thanks for being so understanding.

@Asker---I hope that u won't close this question very soon. I want to clarify Adam's points according to the Sunni point of view, but I'm out of time. Will come back tommorrow, Inshallah.

EDIT 5: @Adam---hey! ur answer is not here. How am I supposed to clarify the misunderstandings? U mentioned lots of stuff, and I wanted to explain it. And u didn't even answer my questions about praying and hajj. I had a question about zakat too!

@Asker---right brother. He either deleted his answer or somebody else did it, which seems highly unlikely, I must say. I won't ask u to keep the question open for me any longer. Jazakallah for ur cooperation in not closing the question earlier.
