theres piramid and gucci store what else? and about the tequila tasting in quedeljera or chepala can u buy tequila there does it have 1800 margarita al ready made etc? how does it work? and whats better beach or lake or is it the same?

Some of my favorite landmarks:

1) El zócalo - downtown square.  lots of government buildings, there's a hotel on the sw corner that has a bar with a great view.  

a) in zócalo is the Mexican cathedral.

b) about a block east of the cathedral is the main pyramid of the aztecs, with a very nice museum, several museums in downtown

2) Chapultepec park

a) The park itself is nice

b) museo de antropología - on Reforma near chapultepec park.  This you cannot miss!

c) castillo de chapultepec - worth the walk up to the top.

3) Paseo de la Reforma - modelled to some degree after Champs Elysee.  lot of traffic circles with great monuments.

4) day trip to Teotihuacán - about 30 miles outside the city.

5) Garibaldi at nite - you have never seen so many mariachis in one place

6) Basilica de Guadalupe - on the north end of town...

beach- Mexico City is nowhere near the Ocean.  all you got are lakes.
