  1. Yes most airlines allow a 7kg carry on which is roughly the size of a backpack or breifcase in measurement

you can have your purse etc but no liquids or sharp items

    nail file etc

ring your carrier or suss their website for exact details :)

  2. Yes, you can bring on a purse and your carry on luggage on a flight. If you need to know what else you can bring on a flight go to the TSA website. Here's the link: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p...

It was very helpful for the flight I was on two weeks ago.

  3. Yes, most airlines allow you to carry 2 items on board - a carry-on bag and a personal item such as a purse or briefcase.  The carry-on bag can be about the size of a large backpack.  Even the small rolling suitcases usually make the cut, but they are watching size of carry-on bags more closely now that airlines are starting to charge people to check luggage.  So you may not be able to slide through with something larger like that anymore.

The pp gave the TSA link which will tell you what you can and cannot bring on board in your purse or carry-on.  Pay close attention to the liquids/gels (3-1-1 rule on the site).  They will throw away anything that is too large or not properly contained.

But you ARE allowed to bring liquids, assuming they are the right size and placed in a baggie.  And you CAN bring items such as nail clippers, nail files, and even small scissors.  Many people hold the belief that you can't, but it's all laid out on the website provided.
