Born in Canada, mother of  mixed English & Irish ancestry, father of English ancestry. Recent dna test of mtdna (mother's side) shows that I belong to 'Clan Tara'--my ancestral people migrated into Tuscany in Italy from Anatolia in the Near East about 17000 years ago... then various clan members migrated yet again,some heading towards the Baltic and the others down to the West seaboard & hence to western britain & Ireland,where my maternal ancestors lived.
