What race where the ancient egyptians?

Question

I have a history professor tell me that the ancient egyptians where ebony, or black, skinned. However, didnt the ancient egyptians always portray themselves as lighter than the Nubians (modern Sudanese) who were/are black. Anyway, I thought that the ancient egyptians were perhaps medeteranien or arabic, since 1. they were pagan, which had a connection to greece-mesephotamia 2. the Jews described in Exodus where said to be able to blend with the egyptians (so where the same color). I also know that the ancient jews (hebrews) where darker skinned than their decendants, who have mixed with european people. Lastly, I think Cleophatra was light skinned, because her family was Greek, but I know she was not related to previous pharos. However, if she was the same "color" as her subjects, would they not be helenic? Also, do you think the ancient Egyptians were the same race of modern Egyptians - arabic? What do you think? Be seroius though, what race do you think they were?

They were brown skinned. But they intermarried with the Mediteranians all the time. Back then, no one cared about race, it was all about social status and religion. King Tut was Black. Cleopatra was Mediteranian and Queen Nefertiti was a mix between Black and Mediteranian.

I'll just discuss skin color, because I don't believe that a definitive, scientific explanation can be provided in terms of a race category.

To me, the skin color of the ancient Egyptians was perceived to be somewhere between the lighter skin of the peoples who occupied the Mediterranean region north of the African continent and the the darker skin of the occupants of the sub-Sahara region in Africa.

You decide but let me tell you there not white 100% sure their not Arab both invaded later on white people why would you braid your hair travel to Africa to build a civilization and follow animistic beliefs none fir the characteristics of Europeans or Arabs. Today the descendants of Ancient Egyptians are like Native Americans very little in population and heavily mixed down with the other populations who invaded their lands a long time ago.

Ill tell you this they were Nilo Saharan and that today is a Black person of Northern Africa. But at the end of the day they are African and its African history and an African civilization not Asian not European not Middle Eastern not American but African.
