leagues or something? I love watching racing which is why I don't watch nascar. I'm beginning to watch some Le Mans but it's not on T.V. in the U.S. too often (occasionally on the SPEED channel). I just want to know what to look for on T.V.

Additional question: which Le Mans races do the Corvette C6R teams compete in? I'm mainly interested in Le Mans because I'm a Corvette Racing fan and can't wait until the mid-engine C7R comes out to play.

  1. American LeMans has the prototype classes LMP1 and LMP2 which are the Audi open top types and the GT classes GT1 and GT2 which are more like road cars e.g. Ferrari 550

  2. Just look for ALMS(American Lemans Series) then you will pick up on the rest.  The Rolex series is even better. Thats a fav of mine.

  3. There is also the LeMans Series in Europe. They run six races in six countries with ACO sanctioning with LMP1, LMP2, GTS and GT categories.  ACO also sanctions the 24 Hours of LeMans race despite it being independent of any one series.  The champion and runner-up from each category in the LeMans Series receive automatic entries into the next year's 24 Hours of LeMans.  Speed Network usually tapes these races during the year and shows them during their "cold" period in November and December.
