Visit this Link to see my racquet. It's a light weight Graphite Racquet. I don't know what, but now the racquet is not displayed in the http://www.head.com website, as it was displayed before a year ago.

I'm 14 now and please give me some suggestions on how the racquet should be for my age.

  1. I'm confused:  Are you looking for an analysis of your current racquet, or tips on buying a new one?  By the way, it doesn't show up on head's website, because it's an old racquet.  The intelligence series is like 3 technologies old.  After that, they had liquidmetal, followed by flexpoint, and now they have the MicroGel.

Your current racquet is good for beginners to intermediate players.  It has a fairly large head (despite being midplus), and is very lightweight.  That makes for an extremely powerful racquet.  But the downside is, that you will have almost no control of the ball if you take a decently hard swing.  And given the overall weight and the swingweight, it must be head heavy, which will make control harder still.

For a player your age, you probably don't need the racquet to create so much power for you.  If you're looking into a new racquet, go heavier.  Demo something around 11 oz and see how it feels.  It'll be really different than what you are used to.  If the racquet seems too heavy for you, or you don't feel like you are getting enough power, go a little lighter.  If not, try something slightly heavier, like maybe 11.5 oz.  Basically, my suggestion is usually to buy as heavy a racquet as you feel you can comfortably handle. This will allow you to have maximum control of the ball, while still being able to create enough power behind the ball.

Unfortunately, there really is not set formula for choosing a racquet, be it based off of age, height, weight, gender...  What racquet you choose is completely your decision.  Nobody can tell you what will be best for you, they can only give suggestions for where to start looking.  Just buy what feels the best to you.

  2. This is a good slicing racket, if you like to slice I'd really suggest getting this, it is also a driving racket which helps you gain more % on your shots.

This is a gresat racket and I HIGHLY reccomend you getting it and using it.

Get it and see how it works for you, if not return it and get another racket, make sure to post a question i'll be sure to answer it if you do think of another racket

    Good Luck mate, Phil.

  3. i think that's one of the Head Intelligence series. you should be able to do some research in the internet about it. in short, Intelligence is a technology from Head to manage the racquet stiffness by modifying the racquet frame molecules. since it was an oversize, it can give you sufficient power and forgiveness (i.e., hitting off-centre). it also is head-heavy to give you good swing-weight and help develop groundstroke (if you are a beginner). it is light-weight to let you train for more hours and not tiring your arm quickly.

    hope it helps :)
