  1. Farmer, farmer, farmer, farmer, drayman, horse thief.   Not much different than most, I would guess.

  2. All of the above.  Nobles and peasants, rich and poor.

Nationalities included England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Turkey, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Egypt, Russia, Netherlands, and Native American.

My ancestors include Saints, Kings, outlaws, farmers, miners, and history makers.

  3. Mostly agricultural labourers unfortunately, but someone's gotta do it. They built up our country, so they're as important as the rest of them.

On my English side I've come across ag labs, carpenters, tinmen, charwomen, bricklayers, apprentices, lightmen, and paupers.

On my european side I am told they were a mixture of teachers, missionaries, sextons, doctors, musicians and even a composer! But I don't have documented proof of these.

  4. Nobles and military men   :D

Dukes, Field Marshals, Admirals, Knights, Counts and etc.  And recently, using this site:

    http://www.william1.co.uk/index.html

I found my great, great, great grandparents (so me too) as descendants of William the Conqueror!  So kings too.

It's been very interesting!  I only wish some of that nobility had continued down to me.

  5. I wish I could tell you but I don't know!

All I know is Africa, England, India and Germany and possibly China or another Asian country.

And I can also tell you that because of my last name(English) I traced it back to possibly some guy who left England and then settled in Salem Massachusetts(sp?). And also this kids later settled in Boston!

    So I don't know much!

And to top it all off I'm Jamaican! I mean wow!

  6. I love this type of question; it is easy to answer, no research required (beyond what I have already done).

My ancestors came over on the boat called the Mayflower. When they arrived, my ancestors were here to greet them.  Other ancestors were part of the Germanna Colony (part of Virginia), Germantown (Pennsylvania) and other Colonies. I can trace my lineage back to Charlemagne.

So, from peasants to kings and queens; bishops; ship's captains; lieutenants and captains in various wars; farmers; printers; ministers; teachers...I am proud of them all.  They came from every continent (except Antarctica), islands in the Atlantic, such as the Canaries, the Mediterranean, the Carribean, the North Sea...

All nations of Europe, parts of the Middle East, Egypt and so many more.

Just like you and every one else on earth.
